Allowances for working out finished sizes (outside recess)

  • Always work in cms

  • Blind width - recess + 8cm each side or a cm wider than sill width (dependant on any restrictions)

  • Minimum allowance to blind width - recess + 5cm each side

  • Blind fixing position - halfway above recess (dependant on any restrictions or if needs to be inline with curtains)

  • Blind drop + 8cm below or 1cm above radiator

  • Please be conscious of any dado rail, skirting or tiling within a recess as the blind will need to be made narrower to accommodate this - more light bleed may be visible
